Qantas recommendation

qantas broker recommendations

I look forward to reading your future posts. It remains a weak business, notwithstanding the frequent flyer scheme. No credit card details required. Whilst I do not ever consider buying Virgin but I took the recommendation by another subscribed report to buy into Qantas after a detailed report into their workings.

As Alan said I don't think those responses were attacks, just discussion, which I have always found while strong at times rarely decends into personal attacks.

Here here the QF forum is definatley one of the best. I'm sure no-one meant to give offence in their remarks. Sometimes posters will disagree with something you, I, or someone else posts and will argue their point. If you mean the responses in the thread about exit row allocation, honestly that seemed to me more a robust discussion than an attack. I'm happy to see you posting here, and hope you will continue to do so. Qantas will continue to be capital intensive although less than before and subject to the whims of the global and domestic economic cycles. I look forward to reading your future posts. Welcome to FT workflyer. Whilst I do not ever consider buying Virgin but I took the recommendation by another subscribed report to buy into Qantas after a detailed report into their workings. The fact is that the airline industry is a terrible one for destroying capital and, without the frequent flyer schemes, many more of these businesses globally would have gone bankrupt over the past ten years as they did in the distant past. We accept that some people will make money over 2 to 5 year periods by picking out of favour cyclical stocks. It remains a weak business, notwithstanding the frequent flyer scheme. There are other fora on this site which have threads which devolve into nasty personal attacks.

Qantas will continue to be capital intensive although less than before and subject to the whims of the global and domestic economic cycles. This is an opportunity for us all to learn, and as long as the argument addresses the post and not the poster, it is to be welcomed.

So unless you think that there remains unrecognised value in the frequent flyer business which there may be , the airline division itself will continue to be a dead weight over the long term. Most others either have know-it-alls who whinge when someone asks a question they already know, or act more like a club and make lots of private jokes amongst themselves.
